Major New stage production of the London West End Musical based on the books by J.R.R. Tolkien will open at EXPO XXI, Warsaw, on 1–5 December 2027.
A Global Phenomenon. Following one of the best-selling books of all time this award-winning stage adaptation of THE LORD OF THE RINGS has already welcomed millions of people through the doors of theatres around the world.
Now a new world class creative team comes together and invites audiences to join Frodo and The Fellowship's epic journey, immersing them in the wondrous world of Middle-earth through brilliant stagecraft, a thrilling score, stunning costumes and astonishing special effects.
THE LORD OF THE RINGS – The Epic Stage Adventure is a spectacular event based on the celebrated trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien. Beloved Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, gifts his nephew, Frodo, his inheritance – including his most precious belonging – a gold ring; an act that sets in motion a perilous quest across Middle-earth to the shadowy lands of Mordor. Strengthened by The Fellowship, Frodo embarks on a treacherous journey that tests courage, allegiance, and the enduring power of friendship.
Directed by Bruce Guthrie, the production is designed by Tony and Olivier Award winner Andrzej Goulding, with book and lyrics by Shaun McKenna and Matthew Warchus, and soul stirring music by Academy Award Winner, A.R. Rahman, Finnish folk group Värttinä and Tony Award winner Christopher Nightingale.
The iconic story and characters come to life on stage as this magnificent quest ignites at EXPO XXI, Warsaw, on 1–5 December 2027.
